Ans. Sarvodaya Sannyasa is a new model of Sannyasa which will be both socially and politically conscious. It is a gigantic vision aiming to bring the best streams of spiritual purity and power into the mainstream politics of India. Sarvodaya Sannyasins will be active in mainstream politics of India starting from the level of village panchayats to parliament. They will also actively work as spiritual friends of all citizens, providing them with intellectual as well as spiritual guidance and solace in their day-to-day personal, family and social life.

Ans. The aims of Sarvodaya Sannyasa are:
- To give countless fulltime politician cum social worker cum yogi to Bharat and humanity for eternity to come.
- Putting enlightenment and maximum possible, selfless service of Bharat and humanity at the same footing.
What is the core vision of Sarvodaya Sannyasa?
Ans. Sarvodaya Sannyasa is divided into 2 stages.
Ans. Sarvodaya Sannyasa is divided into 2 stages.
- Sarvodaya Sadhaka: One has to become a fulltime activist under Sarvodaya Mission (SM), a spiritual organization (its core ideology is here )
- Sarvodaya Sannyasin: The Sarvodaya Sadhaka will have to undergo one year long (or longer than a year) fulltime secluded yoga-practice total 6 times (with some years of gap between consecutive secluded fulltime yoga-practice) combined with vow of silence and not spending time in reading spiritual books or any other things and utilizing whole duration of the day in only yoga-practice. And he/she will also need to maintain unbroken celibacy continuously for a period of at least 12 years. After these two conditions are fulfilled, a Sarvodaya Sadhaka can choose to become a Sarvodaya Sannyasin on his/her own. In total, a Sarvodaya Sannyasin will spend at least 10% and at most 50% of fulltime years (first 6 secluded yoga-practice years included in count) in secluded yoga-practice and remaining years in socio-political work under the banner of Sarvodaya Mission. One will not participate in electoral politics of the democratic system of India during the phase of “Sarvodaya Sadhak”, but one will be free to directly participate in such electoral politics after becoming a “Sarvodaya Sannyasin” depending on the situation and needs of the times.
What are the core principles of Sarvodaya Sannyasa?
Ans. Core principles of Sarvodaya Sannyaas. All principles must be followed by all Sarvodaya Sannyasins in letter and spirit under all circumstances. Sarvodaya Sadhakas being in the preliminary stage will not be expected to show perfect adherence to these principles, but the more they are able to adhere to these principles, the more they will move towards becoming an ideal Sarvodaya Sannyasin later. The principles are as follows:

Sarvodaya Sadhakas being in the preliminary stage will not be expected to show perfect adherence to these principles, but the more they are able to adhere to these principles, the more they will move towards becoming an ideal Sarvodaya Sannyasin later. The principles are as follows:
- He/She will be expected to follow Sarvodaya Mission’s core ideology in letter and spirit. If Sarvodaya Mission looses its ideological integrity due to undesirable entry of morally retarded elements or moral degradation of existing members, it will be considered a failure of Sarvodaya Sannyasins of present times and they owe this duty to past and future Sarvodaya Sannyasins to bring back the ideological purity of the Mission back through tactful, collective actions.
- He/She will need to follow two values, celibacy and universal love in thoughts, words and deeds whole life whatever may be the circumstances.
- He/She will need to fulfill the inviolable principle of spending at least 10% and at most 50% of his years in continuous secluded sadhana with vow of not reading or talking anything during this period and using writing only for communicating about his personal needs like food, clothes etc. All Sarvodaya Sannyasins must adhere to this rule without any exception.
- He/She will need to continuously undertake travel for most of his/her life to meet with people for the sake of social and political work. In case of female sannyasins, we will not expect excessive travel but regular travel, but male sannyasins will be expected to do even excessive travel just like Buddha and Mahavira travelled whole life for more than 40 years continuously to promote spiritual welfare of society.
- He/She will be expected to behave like a normal, but fully principled person, never feeling himself/herself above householder, keeping in mind “Atmavat Sarvabhuteshu” (One Self/Consciousness dwells in all.) and never developing any kind of superiority complex. Gentleness, generosity and sweetness in behaviour will be expected from him/her towards one and all under all possible circumstances.
- He/She will be expected to take care of his/her physical, mental and spiritual well-being through daily yoga-sadhana, introspection, openness, balanced diet, positive, optimistic thinking and regular reading of good and knowledgeable literature.
- He/She will be expected to fulfill his/her family members’ genuine financial needs before joining Sarvodaya Sannyasa and will be expected to continuously take care of their emotional and spiritual needs after joining Sarvodaya Sannyasa, while considering them a part of his/her universal family.
- He/She will be expected to emulate the spirit of selfless service, compassion, broad-mindedness and universal love with full sincerity, keeping great sannyasins like Buddha, Mahavira, Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramahansa as his/her role in this regard.

We are not making any condition that all our political leaders have to be sarvodaya sannyasins or yoga-practitioners – sarvodaya sannyasin is just one of many categories of political leaders that will be part of our party, Sarvodaya Mission. Even if someone doesn’t believe in spirituality, but believes in our core ideology and is a good-hearted person, we will whole-heartedly accept him. As for the faith that political scenario will change one day, I can only say, “The will to see the change means absolutely nothing without the will to work for the change.” So, kindly combine your will to see the change in political system with the will to work for the change in political system just like we are doing. Thanks for your time and attention.

mr gopal, what i think is it will be a bit too difficult to find political activists in myriads in this way.you do yoga, and all practices just because you know what its going to do, how it will work, u hav a mental picture of all these activities.but to everyone else, these ideas are new, many will just ignore you, and some of them may have good political potential.you may find followers but not political leaders. in the language of yoga, u may find bhaktiyogis, but bhaktiyogies cant be good political leaders.you may persuade people to realize themselve. and you need to kno what makes a good political leader, search for such peoples and make them realize themselves…. anyway the political scenario will change someday, thats the faith. all d best
